Beyond authentication,
every IP has a name.
NPass ties every connection on your corporate network to a user, a device and an IP. You know what is connected from live connections, not from a spreadsheet, and the inventory maintains itself without anyone touching it.
The data shown is sample data.

Breaches start on a device
nobody knew about.
Rebuild the asset inventory after an incident and you end up with several lists that disagree with each other.
None of them matches what is actually connected to the network right now.
-
The asset inventory does not match what is connected
Devices in the register that are not connected, devices connected that are not in the register.
Reconciling the list takes weeks, and it drifts again from the day you finish. -
Accounts of people who have left are still there
Accounts and device registrations of former employees and contractors whose contracts have ended remain in place, leaving access rights nobody uses open on the internal network.
-
Access logs only record an IP
When something goes wrong, the first job is finding out who used that IP and on which device.
Time passes before the investigation even starts.
Four changes NPass makes to your network
-
IP accountability
No IP without a known owner
User ID, device (MAC) and IP are bound together and authenticated as one.
Access logs are kept per person and device, not per IP. -
Inventory built from live connections
The inventory comes from connections, not from a spreadsheet
Only users and devices that have passed authentication and are connected right now are in the inventory.
Unregistered devices are filtered out at connection time, so there is no register to reconcile with reality. -
Zero-touch onboarding
Users register themselves, and the inventory maintains itself
With no agent, users register a device in the self-service portal and the certificate and connection settings install automatically.
Administrators never fix the inventory by hand. -
No orphaned accounts
Access does not outlive the people who have left
Integrated with your HR system and identity provider, NPass blocks access for former employees, contractors whose contracts have ended and visitors whose period has expired.
Long-unused accounts are blocked as well.
Even on a day when nothing happened,
you can report it in numbers
Security results go unrecorded because the only outcome is that nothing happened.
The NPass management console is widget-based, so you can build the screen you report to executives yourself.
-
Users per IP
The user, device and connection location for every IP in use right now
-
Connections filtered
How many times unregistered devices tried to connect and were blocked
-
0 orphaned accounts
Number of connections made with accounts of former employees or contractors whose contracts have ended
The scope of NPass is the users, devices and IPs that connect to the corporate network. Servers exposed to the internet and permission flaws inside applications call for other measures, and we do not claim to solve those.
